The Mental Health Therapist collaborates with the Infant and Preschool multi-disciplinary team members to ensure success in the areas of clinical service delivery by providing mental health assessment and treatment to infants, preschoolers and their families struggling with emotional, social and/or behavioural difficulties.  


    • Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or RN/RPN and current registration with a relevant professional body.  Registered Provisional Psychologists are invited to apply if supervised clinical hours have been completed.
    • Two years of recent mental health practice in an ambulatory setting that provided psychosocial intervention. 
    • A demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and collaboratively across sectors.
    • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. 
    • Experience assessing and treating issues related to childhood trauma and maltreatment, knowledge of the Child and Family Services system and experience working within the community with diverse cultures are assets.
