CASA has long recognized the central role that education and professional development play in supporting children and families, the community of clinicians who work with them, and the organization as a whole.  


Advances in research related to mental health as well as communication technology have increased the amount and availability of information, making it both challenging and imperative for those in the workforce to remain current in their knowledge and practice.

As an organization engaged in research as well as direct service delivery, CASA is in an ideal position to transfer research knowledge into practice using educational strategies. CASA partners with provincial ministries and organizations as well as educational institutions to support students, interns and practitioners who work with children and families.  Education is an important aspect of service delivery as well as a core component of quality improvement throughout the organization.
