Child Psychiatrist

Full or Part time

We are seeking a psychiatrist to work full time or part time within a multidisciplinary team of  mental health professionals in an ambulatory care clinic. The service provides assessment, treatment and follow-up care for children up to the age of 18 years and their families and caregivers.  The program offers a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions including psychopharmacology, individual and family therapy, parent education and support groups, filial play therapy and guided parent-child interaction.

Candidates must hold an MD with specialist certification (FRCPC) in Psychiatry and / or Subspecialty certification in Child Psychiatry by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or equivalent. Candidates must also be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).  

The incumbent will be involved with education of medical students and residents and will be considered for an academic appointment with the University of Alberta, Department of Psychiatry.   In addition, there are opportunities to participate in research activities.  For more information about CASA, visit our website:  www.casaservices.or
